Starlight Volunteers Needed for the Chefs’ Charity Cup 

We desperately need 20 volunteers for the Starlight Chefs’ Charity Cup on Saturday 2nd June!

Event:       Chefs’ Charity Cup – a feature of the Melbourne Good Food & Wine Show

Date:         Saturday 2nd June

Time:         8:30am-5:30pm

Location:  Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre

The Starlight Children’s Foundation are an official charity partner of the Good Food & Wine Show.  This year, for the first time, the annual Chefs’ Charity Cup soccer tournament will be held as a feature of the Good Food & Wine Show.  George Calombaris and chefs from Melbourne’s best restaurants including Mamasita, Vue de Monde, The Press Club and 9 other teams will be fighting it out in a 5-a-side soccer round robin to raise much-needed funds for Starlight.

We will  be raising funds through:

• ·         Donations at the door
• ·         Food & beverage stalls
• ·         Kids’ activities
• ·         Photos with Melbourne Victory players & George Calombaris
• ·         Raffle

We desperately need 20 volunteers to help:

• ·         Set up the event (8:30am-10am)
• ·         Collect donations
• ·         Sell food & drinks
• ·         Run the raffle
• ·         Help with kids activities and the photo booth
• ·         Pack down the event (4:30pm-5:30pm)

Starlight Volunteers Needed for Melbourne Storm Game!  Free ticket for all volunteers!

Event:       Melbourne Storm V Brisbane Broncos

Date:         Friday 25th May

Time:         5:30pm-9:30pm

Location:  AAMI Stadium, Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne 3000

The Starlight Children’s Foundation are an official charity partner of the Melbourne Storm rugby league club.  Storm have dedicated their game against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday 25th May to Starlight to help us raise awareness and most importantly, much-need funds so we can deliver our programs that support seriously ill children and their families.  We will be raising funds through a face in the crowd competition (people make a donation to Starlight to have their face painted and hair sprayed purple & yellow – prize is a Crown package), a raffle that will run in the three private Storm lounges, selling wands and collecting donations.   The game is a grudge match so will be a sellout crowd of 30,000 people!

We desperately need 40 volunteers to help:

•             Collect donations

•             Sell flashing star wands

•             Run the raffle

•             Spray people’s hair purple & yellow before the game (for a donation to Starlight)

All volunteers will get a free ticket to the game!

Players are advised to check the Albert Park website for future fixture times each week, as they do change throughout the season and it will be the individuals responsibility as the club will not publish them each week.

Conditions

The person with the most correct player selections in their correct position & winning team will be declared the winner.

Players must participate in the actual game on May 23rd, player withdrawals will not be counted.

Players are required to be selected in their playing position and correct playing number to win, interchange players just need to be selected in the four interchange spots.

Margin will be used to decide winner should there be more then one winner after correct players and winning teams are counted.

If there is multiple winners the $100 will be split evenly.

You can only enter 1 team.

Vipers rulings are final.

This will be an opportunity for new players to meet other members of the club as well as fellow team members. We hope to also hand out all playing shirts and gear on the day.

We will conclude the day with a BBQ so you must RSVP your attendance by Friday 4th May  – RSVP HERE
