Levi has been kept a secret by his parents as a fierce bidding war for his service on the touch fields has erupted between Soly’s past Sydney team the Easts Roosters and his new home in Vipers.

Brooke recently became engaged to Sam after many years of courtship and will look to tie the knot in the off season of the Touch and Basketball competitions as not to disrupt their teams.

Clinton and his lovely wife Monique recently welcomed their first child little Eli Jack into the world. Eli will be a welcome addition to the Vipers clan in the coming years and potentially live out the dreams of his old man.

Congratulations to both couples on behalf of Vipers.

Friday 9th December @ 6.30pm @ Albert Park touch fields – VT League round 6 will be conducted which will feature Vipers VT Men’s, Women’s… and Mixed teams in action.

Sunday 11th December @ 10.30am @ Elwood Park Touch Fields – The Vipers VT Mixed team will play their makeup game against Lions. We encourage you all to come along and support the team.

Sunday 11th December @ 11.30am @ Elwood Park Touch Fields – The Vipers VT Men’s team will play a trial match against the Haileybury Opens team. Vipers and Haileybury have held a close association for the past 5 years in the development of junior touch players. This should be a match not to be missed with a selection of Haileybury players already members of Vipers VT teams.

Sunday 11th December @ 1pm @ Elwood Lounge (Ormond St Elwood) – Vipers invites all members, family and friends to come along for a Xmas get together, have a drink and something to eat. The Sunday session will be a great place to meet all Vipers members and enjoy the Melbourne Summer weather.
Parma and Big Bottle Beer – $20 (Special price for all Vipers) RSVP is appreciated if you intend on having a Parma so we can let the Pub know numbers to expect!

Wine Rule’s is the major fundraising event for St Mary’s House of Welcome’s. St Mary’s is a drop-in day centre which assists Melbourne’s homeless population through providing quality meals, recreational activities and a strong sense of community.

Wine Rules is the Victorian cousin of the successfully established festival Touch Wine held annually in Adelaide by Hutt Street Centre. The initial concept for Touch Wine and Wine Rules was inspired by UK wine writer and internationally renowned wine judge, Mathew Jukes.

What does this have to do with Touch?

Wine Rules is a fundraising event that Touch Football Victoria partners with St Mary’s House of Welcome to deliver for people less fortunate than ourselves. Vipers should be seen as leaders within the touch community and support this event through refereeing or helping with administration duties as well as providing support for the Vipers VT Mixed team which will feature in a double header round on the day at 11am and 2pm.

Can you help Ref on the day?

Touch Football Victoria requires referee’s for the day, regardless of whether or not you have a badge. It would help St Mary’s House of Welcome and TFV if you would volunteer to referee a few games on the day and share in the experience of this great event. The standard of touch is quite low, it is almost exclusively beginner teams so if you can play at VT League level, you will be able to help out on the day.

The following will be provided on the day for your services:
1. Lunches/Snacks throughout the day
2. Gatorade/Water
3. L’Oreal gift pack valued at over $100
4. Crackers Wine Show bag
5. Drink Card (Five drinks included Value at $40) for use at the event on completion of your allocated games

The Competitions are expected to commence mid October and conclude with finals in Jan/Feb 2012.

All Vipers teams must have a min. 12 and  max. 14 players per team.

Player fees are on a sliding scale based on the number of Vipers social teams in which you compete. Full fees are required before round 2 of each competition or the team/individual may be removed. New Players are required to purchase a one off playing shirt for $40.

1 team = $115

2 teams = $220 ($110 per team)

3 teams = $315 ($105 per team)

All Players will receive a waterbottle, hat or visor plus a club discount card for use at various business both locally and nationally.
