Basketballer’s continue winning

Vipers Men’s Basketball team have continued their giant killing ways with a crushing defeat of the previously undefeated top team by a convincing 20pts.

It was out first hit out in 3 weeks after 2 teams in a row forfeited to the might of the Vipers. Teams are now concerned that they to will be brushed aside by this team of NBA or maybe NBL hopefuls.

Team legend, Adam Whitereturned from his death bed for his first run since overcoming pneumonia which inspired the team to not only defend extremely well but to make sure they attack at every opportunity.

Jay Solomon’s defensive pressure, Bryce Sestich and Kane Hockley’s 3 point shooting and Patty Canty (aka Charles Barkley) was like a raging bull under the ring slamming and bumping players away as he dominated the basket.

Although the team perform well it is the tactical genius of inspirational coach and formerVipers Netballer MVP Sam Cranage that has lead to this remarkable first season feats. While there is still along way to go in the season it is really just a matter of who will stop the all conquering Vipers team from claiming the men’s crown.

Vipers move to the court

Vipers have continued our expansion of sports and introduced Basketball.Now that Cycling has been established Vipers can concentrate on developing our Basketball teams which has been in the pipeline for some time.

Vipers very first team in the 5 a side game will compete at MSAC on Monday nights in the Men’s D grade. The team is lead by Sam Cranage a regular touchie and netballer from past seasons, who is also a keen basketballer.

The team have had early success with a crushing 30pt win in their opening game but suffered a narrow 1 pt lose in round 2 it is early days and the remainder of the season will test the team.
