Awards
Vipers MVP player awards are voted by the players of each year per team. These awards are in recognition of outstanding achievement throughout the season.
All players vote on a 3,2 & 1 system after each game. The player with the most votes at the end of each round is awarded 3pts with the next highest voted player receiving 2pts and the next 1pt, at the end of the season these points are calculated to determine the teams MVP.
Vipers currently only conduct MVP awards during the summer season of touch football & netball.
Vipers awards a Rookie of the Year in recognition of an excellent first year by a individual player with the club. This is voted on by the committee of the current year.
The Extra Mile Award is sponsored and donated by one of the club’s sponsors in Sandringham Sports Medicine and is in recognition to an individual who demonstrates commitment and a can do attitude in volunteering their time to the club without question. This is a prestigious award and is voted on by the committee of the current year.
